Contact Us
We are a young club, formed in February 2011, with a little over 60 members, and are dedicated to learning about, and enjoying the craft of "woodturning".  By sharing information and techniques, we learn to make all types of decorative art-forms and functional works - from beautiful pens to wondrous deep bowls. Our work is typically in the medium of nature's beautiful wood that is all around our planet, but we also work in plastics and other malleable materials. The basis for our efforts is the the use of a woodturning lathe. All work is done by hand and with a few simple, non-automated machines. We, as artists, skillfully craft each piece that comes out of our studio, and hope that someone else will treasure its natural beauty and our ability to unlock that from deep within the piece of raw material it used to be.

We meet on a monthly basis at  Mr. Real Mercier's shop in West Springfield MA. Typically, dates are the second Wednesday of the month, at 6:30PM. Periodically, we have other events, so come back to check the calendar, periodically, to see what's going on, and when.

Please feel free to contact us about woodturning, or come to our next meeting! Woodturning is FUN!!!

Safe, effective use of a wood lathe requires study and knowledge of procedures for using this tool. Read, thoroughly understand, and follow the label warnings on the lathe and in the owner/operator’s manual. Safety guidelines from an experienced instructor, video, or book are a good source of important safety procedures. Please work safely.
